The Grove Theatre are celebrating the exquisite sound of one of the most talented vocalists of the last few decades with Songbird: The Music of Eva Cassidy.

Songbird traces the remarkable and poignant journey of Eva Cassidy from humble beginnings to her untimely death at the age of just 33. Her soul-stirring voice was known to few across the span of her life but now her music is a global sensation. This American vocalist and guitarist is known for her impeccable interpretations of jazz, blues, folk, gospel, country, rock and pop songs. Her most notable and mesmerising hits include Imagine, Time After Time and Wonderful World. Since Terry Wogan first played her recordings in 2000, she has had three No 1 UK hits and a total of eleven UK chart hits, including five top three albums.

This sensational show stars Sarah-Jane Buckley, known to millions for Hollyoaks, who performs Eva’s songs with incredible accuracy. Sarah-Jane plays Eva to perfection as she authentically revives Eva’s greatest hits with expert precision and passion. Her voice captures the raw-emotion and power of this iconic artist.
