  2. Hi Ernie,
We went to see Whistle Down The Wind last night at the Library Theatre, staged by the Griffin Players. It was brilliant, better than some West End musicals I’ve seen.
Well directed, the acting and singing were excellent, American accents convincing, (especially the children), and a very ingenious set with clever use of the space. The special effects were good with effective use of the lighting.
I would urge anyone to go and see it, if they can get a ticket. Last night tonight, 15th.

    • I’m sure the Griffin Players did a good job. The main problem as I see it is that the theatre management seem to have given up on shows for grown-ups. In the days of previous managements, (Roy Darby, Janet Clemitson, Doc Watson etc) there was always something on and so local people got into the habit of going to the Library Theatre. Now you’re lucky to find the place unlocked and not in darkness in the evenings! All that’s left are the amateurs that can afford to book the place and I think that’s now down to about three per year!
Come on Library Theatre Management! No one ever filled a theatre by not booking in shows!

  3. Dear Ernie,
I’m one of Paul McMullen’s oldest friends and organising a tribute evening to him at St Albans Arena on Monday September 9th starting at 7pm. I’m told you knew Paul from when he worked at the Arena and I wondered if you could perhaps call/email me about the tribute? I’m after anecdotes, stories etc and also any archive of him – promoting his shows…? Do contact me. Many thanks. Edward

Tickets are £10 and £8 for striking new work that will tickle the imagination.

  9. Hello Ernie
Your contact details have been given to us by another WI group, and I wondered whether you would be able to come and give a talk to our ladies? We are in Hargrave Northamptonshire and the date available is July 12 2017.
Not sure what aspect of your work you would talk about, but we are open to suggestions. I was told you gave a very enjoyable talk as a children’s entertainer, but perhaps we could discuss this.
    Hope to hear from you.
    Kind regards

  10. Hello,

This is Melia and I am a licensed illustrator.

I was baffled, putting it lightly, when I saw my images at your web-site. If you use a copyrighted image without an owner’s permission, you need to be aware that you could be sued by the creator.

It’s illegitimate to use stolen images and it’s so selfish!

See this document with the links to my images you used at erniealmond.com and my earlier publications to get the evidence of my ownership.

Download it right now and check this out for yourself:

    https://sites.google.com/view/4978540085409533/drive/folders/storage/shared/download?h=693690408948875883

If you don’t delete the images mentioned in the file above within the next several days, I’ll file a to your hosting provider stating that my copyrights have been severely infringed and I am trying to protect my intellectual property.

And if it doesn’t work, for damn sure I am going to take legal action against you! And I won’t give you a prior notice again.

    • In reply to Melia, I notice you’ve changed your name from the previous identical letter?? But this was the answer I gave you before and it is still the same as when you called yourself Nancy!

Dear Nancy if I have infringed a copyright it will be accidental. I only use pictures sent to me by the production companies. Unfortunately, the link you sent comes up with purely a message from Google saying I don’t have permission to look at it – so there is no way of telling which picture you’re talking about. Please let me know and I will remove it immediately.

  11. Hi!

    My name is Nancy.

Your website or a website that your company hosts is infringing on a copyright-protected images owned by myself.

Take a look at this document with the links to my images you used at erniealmond.com and my earlier publications to obtain the evidence of my copyrights.

I believe you have willfully infringed my rights under 17 U.S.C. Section 101 et seq. and could be liable for statutory damages as high as $150,000 as set forth in Section 504(c)(2) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (”DMCA”) therein.

This letter is official notification. I seek the removal of the infringing material referenced above. Please take note as a service provider, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act requires you, to remove or disable access to the infringing materials upon receipt of this notice. If you do not cease the use of the aforementioned copyrighted material a lawsuit will be commenced against you.

I have a good faith belief that use of the copyrighted materials described above as allegedly infringing is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that I am the copyright owner or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

    Best regards,
    Nancy Jenkins

  12. Hi There,

Just a heads-up that I believe the word “didnt” is spelled wrong on your website. I had a couple of errors on my site before I started using a service to monitor for them. There are a few sites that do this but we like SpellingReport.com and ErrorSearch.com.
