MURDER ON AIR ARRIVES AT MILTON KEYNES THEATRE

The critically acclaimed Agatha Christie Theatre Company has had huge success with its star-studded productions of The Hollow, The Unexpected Guest, And Then There Were None, Spider’s Web, Witness for the Prosecution, Verdict, Murder on the Nile, Go Back For Murder and most recently with this year’s triumph Black Coffee.

The company now presents three gripping radio thrillers from the ‘Queen of Crime’, Murder on Air, read in an authentic studio setting with live sound effects, in the style of their original BBC Broadcasts.  Special guest stars Jenny Seagrove and Tom Conti will appear at Milton Keynes Theatre accompanied by a full supporting company of players.

Jenny Seagrove is one of the UK’s most respected actresses. Her prolific theatre career has seen her play the lead in almost every West End playhouse, with recent credits including: Noël Coward’s Present Laughter, Brief Encounter, Volcano and The Country Girl with Martin Shaw.  Jenny is also known to millions of TV viewers as barrister Jo Mills in the BAFTA award winning Judge John Deed, which she starred in opposite Martin Shaw.

Tom Conti, one of the most respected and celebrated actors of his generation, joins Murder on Air fresh from his critically acclaimed West End run in Reginald Rose’s Twelve Angry Men. Unforgettable as the leading man in hit films such as Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence and Shirley Valentine he has also won awards including an Olivier Award and a Tony Award for his stage performance in Whose Life is it Anyway? and a Best Actor Oscar nomination for his role in Reuben Reuben.  He and Dame Judi Dench were recently jointly voted the Most Popular Actors in the West End in the last 25 years.
