It’s Sausage Time for TV Burp star Harry

Harry Hill’s first live outing in six years, Sausage Time, calls at Royal & Derngate on Thursday 7 March, promising a night of inspired lunacy with special guests, music…and a giant sausage.

The big-collared comedy genius is back with a show that promises incontrovertible proof that God exists. There’ll be a section exclusively for Tongans, a chance to catch up on Harry’s Nan’s latest ailments, the legendary Stouffer the Cat and a debut solo stand-up spot by Gary, Harry’s son from his first marriage whom audiences may recognise from his role as Alan Sugar in Harry Hill’s TV Burp. There’ll be expert-whistler-of-chart-hits grandson Sam and an all-singing, all-dancing finale, with showband The Harrys in accompaniment throughout.

The show is recommended for ages 12 and above

Having nurtured his unique brand of comedy on Radio 4, Harry Hill made the transfer to the small screen back in 1994, and finally found huge mainstream success with the three BAFTA-winning TV Burp, which began in 2001. The show’s last episode aired last spring, leaving comedy audiences bereft, but giving Harry time to work up his new live show, as well as exhibiting his paintings and sculptures at Edinburgh Art Festival and creating a one-off documentary due for broadcast in the summer.
